Sarah Humbargar, Principal

Living City Ventures was founded by Sarah as a place-centered advisory services firm vested in the long term success of the businesses and infrastructure that makes historic districts and urban neighborhoods so unique. Sarah holds a bachelors degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver and has a diverse background touching nearly all areas of commercial real estate. Sarah’s passion is for fostering urban areas in small and mediums size cities, offering strategies to support the economic development, program execution, and citizen engagement in urban areas.

Prior to launching Living City Ventures, Sarah served as the Vice President of Development Services for the Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, where she supported businesses, developers, and investors who were looking to start, expand or enhance services in the Downtown market. Sarah has supported numerous policies and key efforts that helped Downtown Colorado Springs attract nearly $1 billion dollars of new development, hundreds of new jobs, and the establishment of more than 30 new small businesses in just 5 years.

Sarah has worked in urban and suburban contexts, having previously supported national store development for Carmax Auto Superstores with entitlement services, construction permitting, and design team management. Sarah also maintains her license as a Colorado Real Estate Broker and supports clients in their real estate needs through ORB Commercial Real Estate and ORB Management.

Sarah was raised working in her family’s small museum and retail business in Colorado Springs, which has been in operation for more than 60 years. In her spare moments, Sarah can be found tending her half-acre urban homestead in Downtown Castle Rock, or out on the golf course sipping a Colorado craft beer.
